Jeff started riding dirt bikes for fun since he was 6 years old. He started racing bicycles at 8 years old. After racing all over the country, Jeff won several State Championships and also a A.B.A. BMX World Championship title at age 9. He still rode his dirt bike on the weekends when he was not involved in some sort of BMX racing. It wasn’t until Jeff was about 13, and eventually grew out of bicycles, and wanted to start a career in dirt bike racing. He competed all over the west coast, especially California in numerous circuits and series. He won a Southern California Championship series, as well as a Northern Series, and also a Top 5 finish at the World Mini’s race.
Jeff raced until he was 17 years old, it’s also the same time he started practicing and performing Freestyle Motocross. A rider named Adam Pierce, who lived nearby, was doing an FMX demo and asked if he would like a chance to perform with him. Since he always loved doing tricks at the track, during practice and just about anywhere he could, he thought why not give it a try. Jeff got the opportunity to do a few tricks and hit a ramp for the 1st time. He had an awesome, successful, first show, and has been hooked ever since. After that weekend he never raced again. Now he’s done hundreds of expeditions and contests, Nationally and Internationally, and it has allowed him to travel the world, meet some really cool people, and to make a living by doing what he loves to do.
