After making the move from Volume Bikes to Verde in April of this year, Ryan ‘Biz’ Jordan released an awesome video part in the Demolition Parts video “Last Chance,” grabbed a spot on the DC Shoes pro team, watched the Chris Rock movie “CB4,” relearned half barspins and retired from riding trails. Biz also took the time to build up a new 21″ top tube Verde Kevin Kiraly frame, and was nice enough to sit down and run through his latest setup with us. Biz rides the Kiraly frame with a 21″ top tube, Verde’s cartel forks, Verde’s Brian Yeagle signature bars, and an array of components from his parts sponsor, Demolition. This ain’t no Auburn. The Kiraly frame features a CNC machined Mid B/B, investment cast brake bridge, integrated clamp, removable brake mounts and secondary chain stay bends for added tire clearance. In the front, Biz rides a Demolition female axle Phantom hub, Demolition Zero rim, and Demolition’s 2.35″ Momentum tire. Biz was not available to comment on the type of peg he rocks in the front. More parts from Demolition include Demolition’s Revolt crank, Demolition’s F-1 sprocket (28t) and a Shadow Conspiracy Interlock V2 chain. Biz rides former Volume team mate Jason Enns’ signature Volume grip, and that unusual piece of metal with a tube sticking out of it is what older BMX riders call an Odyssey brake lever. Demolition’s Momentum tires features the lightest wire bead available, with 110 psi, low profile rectangle tread pattern, and colors of black and skin wall. Biz likes the squares, because they remind him of Square One. Demolition’s Keystone stem is endorsed by Demolition team rider and close friend of Biz, Chris Doyle. The top load stem features extensive internal and external machining and six hollow bolts to keep weight down. Biz’s seat of choice is Demolition’s D-Fat seat, named for La Manokham’s hearty appetite, and Demolition’s Pivotal post. Demolition’s low-profile Vulcan brakes feature a sealed bearing pivot for smoother brake pull, Demolition pads and braided straddle cable. These things work great, if you’re old and like to stop without ruining your shoes. Biz’s rear wheel setup includes an Alienation 9t freecoaster, Demolition Zero rim, Demolition Team peg and a well used hub guard to keep everything rolling smooth.
