Hart and Huntington Australian Super X Round 3 Campbelltown

Melbourne, VIC (10th November, 2011) – The Hart and Huntington / InsureMyRide Super X team hit up round 3 of the Super-X season in Campbelltown, held at the West’s Tigers NRL Club Stadium. We finally had a rain free day of racing, the first so far this season!

The format for round 3 was different to the previous two rounds. We had a split practice & qualifying this week, and the mains were split into 3 seven lap races with a few minutes break in between each of the 3 races.

The boys this week were struggling with their starts in the heat’s which was putting them deep into the pack, and as of the first corner were battling with the slow riders trying to claw their way back.

Our Pro Lites rider Luke Urek took a spill which put him out of contention for any points in RD3, Pro Open rider Chris Camilleri also missed out on the main event.

Chris Blose had some quick times on paper this weekend, but didn’t quite string it together in the end.

Blose made it through the heats and managed a decent gate pick for the main event races and race 1 saw him up there with the top riders. In race 2 he got tangled up in the first corner, and while tangled up bumping bars his front brake lever got pushed out of finger’s reach and he rode the seven laps without the front brake. Race 3 had another tangled pile of riders in the first corner and he got pushed right to the back of the pack and he battled to salvage his race.

Thanks to our special guest MC ESO from Aussie Hip-Hop outfit Bliss n Eso!

Our thoughts go out to Hart and Huntington sponsored U19′s rider Jake Emanuelli and his family after a bad crash which ended with him being rushed off to hospital.

Current Championship standings for the Hart and Huntington / InsureMyRide riders.

Luke Urek – Pro Lites – 19th place
Chris Camilleri – Pro Open – 18th place
Chris Blose – Pro Open – 13th place

All 3 riders have there fingers crossed that the conditions are a little more favourable for the 3rd round of the Super X series in Campbelltown. We also look extremely forward to putting on another round of pre-race entertainment for the fans and improving their Superx eperiance.
