My name is Blanco, it’s my last name, not a nickname. I’m from the Los Angeles suburbs, Hacienda Heights, in So. California. I was inspired to become an artist by my grandmother, who was an oil painter. As a teenager, I was a graffiti artist. Naturally, I became an airbrush artist and opened my own shop for many years. Not long after, I started tattooing in the backroom of my shop. I got my tattooing knowledge from “The Electric Pencil”, in Whittier Ca. The guys that helped me were, Rick “Tiny” Williams, Gilbert Torres & Chopper. I tattooed out of an indoor swap meet, where I originally had my airbrush shop, for 11 years. I also worked at Empire Tattoo in Redlands, Ca. I have been tattooing now for 18 years. My favorite style is black and gray illustration and realism. I have a secret love for color, it just takes too long. My hobbies are Muay Thai, Brazilian jui jitsu, and poker. I have been married for 22 years, and have 3 adult children, and a grandson on the way.
